Sight word practice with a little math mixed in? Yes please! Hit both literacy and math objectives with this quick print and go activity.
We are always on the look out for fun new ways to help our students learn all those pesky sight words! These high-frequency words often don’t follow traditional phonics rules and our kiddos simply have to memorize many of them. This activity is a great way to practice sight word recognition and can be programmed with the specific words your students are working on. Simply type the 5 five words into the form and it will populate the following pages.
Students color the sight words by code…..BONUS color word practice too! They are exposed to the sight words multiple times while completing the activity.
This is where we add in a little math! Students count the number of each sight word and represent it in either a graph or with tally marks. Students then use their knowledge of MORE or LESS to identify the word they will use in a sentence.
