Looking for a new calendar set to brighten up your classroom? My newest printable classroom calendar set is bright, easy-to-read and includes everything you will need for a calendar wall or bulletin board display. Plus it’s light on the color ink!
I’ve been wanting to make a new calendar set for awhile! I love the original calendar set I made years ago for my own classroom. I’ve kept the Colorful Cork Board Set updated and looking great but it is still fun to change things up!
I wanted a simple and clean look that was nice and bright but a little more ink friendly. All the calendar pieces are just highlighted with a pop of color and are light on the color ink.
Or useย no color ink at allย and add a pop of color by printing on bright paper. All calendar components are included in both color and black & white!
FITS A POCKET CHART
A pocket chart is an easy way to display your classroom calendar! See the pocket chart I use HERE. I like hanging my pocket chart calendar on the white board. It is easy to create a calendar display or wall using magnetic tape on the back of accompanying charts and pieces. You can also use this set for a calendar bulletin board with a wall calendar too! Not all calendars/pocket charts are the same size so I have included printing directions to help you adjust the sizing if needed.
MONTHS AND YEARS
The monthly headers come in 2 sizes. The larger headers are great for your monthly calendar. The smaller headers can be used to display the months in order in your math/calendar area or for your students to read and order in a pocket chart.
DAYS OF THE WEEK
Learning the days of the week and their order is an important part of a classroom calendar routine. Keep track of the days of the week with headers for Yesterday was, Today is, and Tomorrow will be.
BIRTHDAY GRAPH & CHARTS
Keep track of and celebrate student birthdays too! This set has birthday charts for each month. Display them all at once or add them monthly to your calendar area. Birthday calendar cards and a birthday graph are also included.
WEATHER AND TALLY CHART
What’s the weather today? You can keep track of the weather day-to-day with the header and cards. Or keep track of the weather over time and use the tally chart. There are 8 cards for different weather conditions and two versions of the tally chart.
DAYS IN SCHOOL TEN FRAMES
It’s fun to count how many days we’ve been in school! And also learn important place value skills with ten frames. You can laminate the ten frames and use with a dry erase marker or just print the black & white version and fill it in with stickers, a marker or bingo dabbers. Your students will learn how to count numbers with ten frames, count by tens and count on.
LOST TOOTH CHART
Your students will love keeping track of this important milestone in their life. Losing a tooth is a big deal! Students names can be displayed on the tooth chart and/or calendar numbers.
A classroom calendar has many benefits. It helps keep track of important days and events in our students lives. Helps teach a variety of math skills in context. Introduces the concept of days, months and time. Additionally, it can act as a gathering place or time in the day and build a sense of community. You can read more about calendar routines in the classroom HERE.
Your calendar is also a part of your classroom decor! This printable classroom calendar set would look great in lots of different classrooms but also has the flexibility of being printed onto color paper to match your theme. Click below to check it out!
