What’s the deal with CVC Words?
CVC words are three letter words with a consonant-vowel-consonant pattern. Each letter in a CVC word represents a sound (no tricky digraphs or silent letters). By focusing on the sounds of individual letters and learning how to blend them together (or take them apart), children can begin to read and write simple CVC words.
