Get your students familiar with all the letters and sounds. There are a ton of ways to do this….
Students can write the room for:
-letters: students record the letters they find to practice recognition and printing
-words and/or pictures all beginning with the same letter/sound: reinforces specific beginning letter sounds (works for ending & medial sounds too)
-pictures of objects beginning with different letters/sounds : students print the beginning letter of each picture
6. CVC Words
Reading and spelling CVC words is an important skill as students learn their letter sounds and begin blending them together to make words. It takes practice! Write the Room is an engaging way to do it.
